We were truly honoured when Bobby, owner of It’s Proper Jerk in Penge, London, asked us to create a mural in tribute to his late mum. The piece bursts with warmth and colour — Bobby gazes across a map of Jamaica towards his mum’s portrait, surrounded by the hand-painted Jamaican motto and a delicate hummingbird, symbols of heritage, resilience, and love. Every brushstroke was shaped by close collaboration with Bobby and his family, weaving their memories into our design. Beyond the mural, we transformed the space with a bold floor-to-ceiling menu board and hand-painted, stencilled front signage, giving the restaurant a unique, soulful identity that greets every guest before they even step inside.
